What an unforgettable experience! We had an absolutely amazing day on our tour from Cancun to Chichén Itzá, the cenote, and Valladolid. From early morning until late in the evening, Alfredo, Enrique, and Xiomara went above and beyond to make this trip truly special. They didn’t just show us the most beautiful places—they brought every location to life with fascinating stories, incredible historical knowledge, and genuine passion. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to every detail made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and completely immersed in the experience. Every stop was perfectly organized, and they made sure we had enough time to enjoy every moment while sharing so many interesting facts that we would have never learned on our own. A huge thank you to Alfredo, Enrique, and Xumaro for their kindness, positive energy, and outstanding service. They turned a great tour into a truly unforgettable memory for our family. At the end of the tour, Xiomara surprised us with one more thoughtful gesture. She bought a cake for our birthday celebrants—we had three of them! She then started singing “Happy Birthday,” and soon the whole group joined in. It was such a warm, joyful, and memorable moment, and without a doubt one of the top highlights of the entire tour. It was the perfect way to end an amazing day. If you’re looking for the best tour from Cancun, don’t hesitate—this is the one to book! Highly recommended!

Zeferino was an incredible, very knowledgeable guide. The more you know about the Mayan culture, the more you want to know. If you are interested in a historical tour of the Yucatán peninsula he is your guy!. Very humbling to get a Shaman’s blessing when we went to the Cenote. Unfortunately, it had rained the night before so the Cenote wasn’t crystal clear. The hike to the pyramid was exciting and fun.

Gonzalo is an amazing tour guide. We had a once in a life time experience. You will learn allot about the Mexican culture. You can find yourself in having a spiritual awakening of sorts with the Mayan people, and stand in awe at the pyramid. Carlos will transport you to all your destinations. He is a true professional. An original Mario Andretti, w/ out the racing.... Lol. If you get the chance to meet them, consider yourself blessed.

We did the 4x1 trip (Tulum, Coba, Cenote/Lunch, Playa del Carmen), on June 5, 2026. It was a long trip, but the whole experience was outstanding. Zeferino is an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge about the Mayan culture. I believe he was by far the best guide we met during our many trips we took during the years! And Eric is an excellent driver, a very important part of a day-long trip. I recommend both Zeferino and Eric wholeheartedly, along the company organising this trip (Cancun Bay Tours)!

While I had a pleasant experience booking my tour, speaking for half hour with a salesperson, it became clear soon enough that she had never been on the tour that I was planning to book and for which I wanted advice. This is a grave oversight, and I feel that all sales people need to go on the tours that they're trying to sell. Sometimes people want to go on a tour that have disabilities. When I asked for a wheelchair to visit Chicgen Itza, there was none to be had. When I arrived to go on the tour in Playa del Carmen in Plaza Antigua, the person in charge there, Julio, was extremely rude to me and was trying to deny me going on the tour. It took quite a bit of wrangling to see that I had booked things correctly, that I had supplied a photo of my permanent residence card as well as my INAPAN card, but whoever it was that sold me the tour, did not communicate any of this to Julio. It took about 15 minutes of very unpleasant wrangling. He was asking his supervisor if I should even be allowed on the tour. I found this extremely insulting since I had made all the arrangements in advance. He wanted to charge me the regular fee even though I had supplied information that I had permanent residency and therefore, was guaranteed to be given the Mexican fee. So my tour began with a very bad start. Julio was unpleasant to me throughout the day and towards the end of the day, he became very rude again. The way he told me that I would have to get my gear immediately was as if he was talking to a 5-year-old child. I told him I was 70 years old and definitely his senior, and he should never speak to a senior like that. He didn't care. The other guide was actually great, I have no complaints about him. His name was Victor. He was extremely knowledgeable, and gave us a 1-hour lecture while we were on the bus. I should have gone on the tour with him at Chichen Itza even though I prefer my tours in Spanish, and Victor was giving his tour in English. But I know that he would have treated me much better. Julio just kept walking fast, leaving me behind, so I attached myself to another tour group that didn't seem to mind. What happened to me , probably he's done to many other people before. Needless to say, I did not give him a tip. He was probably the worst tourguide I have ever been with, given how I was made to feel by this Julio! I would advise people who read my comment, to go with any other tour company to see Chichen Itza. I certainly will never again go with Cancun Bay tours anywhere else. Even though we were lucky that we got to Chichen Itza on a day that was quite cool , and not brutally hot as usually it is, I just couldn't quite enjoy the day, given that I felt emotionally and verbally abused by this supremely unkind and uncaring man.
