Cenote Angelita, near Tulum, is one of the most spectacular dive sites on the planet. At about 30 meters deep, a hydrogen sulfide layer forms a cloud that looks like a “mystical river” flowing underwater, with branches and leaves giving it the look of a submerged forest.
What to see and do
- The sulfide cloud – a unique visual phenomenon.
- Deep diving – for certified divers.
- Surreal landscape – like floating over an underwater river.
Why it is special
It is a world-famous dive for its one-of-a-kind optical effect, ideal for experienced divers seeking something truly extraordinary.
