Cenote Calavera: Tulum's “Temple of Doom”

Cancun Bay Tours July 15, 2026 calavera-cenote-tulum 4 min read

Cenote Calavera, also known as the “Temple of Doom,” is one of the most fun cenotes in Tulum. Its three ceiling openings form the shape of a skull, and from them you can jump straight into the crystal-clear water.

What to see and do

  • Jumps into the water – from the openings, pure adrenaline.
  • Cavern atmosphere – with light beams and turquoise water.
  • Cavern diving – also a popular spot for divers.

Why it is special

Its skull shape and jumps make it unique and great fun, just minutes from Tulum town.

How to visit

It is a few minutes from Tulum. Book your tour with Cancun Bay Tours with pickup at your hotel.
