San Miguelito Archaeological Site: Ruins in the Hotel Zone

San Miguelito is a Postclassic Maya site (1100-1450 CE) located inside the Cancun Hotel Zone, next to the Maya Museum. It was part of the Ekab chiefdom and took part in an extensive trade network around the peninsula.

  • The Great Pyramid – the main structure, about 8 m, amid the greenery.
  • Residential compounds – remains of houses and temples.
  • Cancun Maya Museum – visited together with the site, with spectacular pieces.
