Kabah is the second most important city on the Puuc Route after Uxmal, to which it was connected by a sacbe and a monumental arch. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its Puuc architecture is simply spectacular.
What to see
- Codz Poop (Palace of the Masks) – its facade is covered with about 250 masks of the rain god Chaac, unique in the Maya world.
- The Arch of Kabah – a monumental gateway marking the start of the sacbe to Uxmal.
- The Palace and several Puuc structures.
